This workshop is 1/3 lecture and 2/3 workshop aka shooting. We’ll cover the basics about bridal photography. This class has a limited class size, so if you need or want a small workshop with lots of help - this is it.
We will be covering the following content:
* Basics of Bridal Posing
* Basics of Feminine Lighting
* Using Off-Camera Lighting
* Formal & Contemporary Bridal Portrait Poses
* Using Natural Light Effectively
* Basic Technical Techniques - (ISO, DOF, flash, etc)
* Tricks to Dramatic Bridals
* Posing Tips for Different Figures
* Basics of Cool Compositions
* Tricks to Shooting Natural Poses
* Basics of Shadows and Light
* Get Great Portfolio Shots
* Designer Wedding Gown &
* Model Provided
This workshop will be held at sunrise at the San Antonio Missions. Exact mission TBA. By shooting before sunrise, you will have the chance to shoot some dramatically lit bridal portraits.
We will be discussing off camera lighting and use a continual light source for the section prior to sunrise. The use of light and texture will make for some really special shots.
If you have flashes (or were thinking about getting some) and want to attend this event, I highly recommend getting a cheap radio trigger so you can get your flash OFF your camera. It makes a HUGE difference in how your images look. Totally worth it.
The location will provide for a diversity of looks as the sun comes up. And we are on - rain or shine, sleet or snow. Weather makes for more interesting shots anyway. ;o)
