Belle’s Photography, wedding stuff, and more tutorials
08.22.09

So, those of you who subscribe to the RSS feed (and the rest of you stalkers!) may be happy to hear that Belle’s has been working on some more free tutorials.  In case you haven’t found the educational section of our site yet, it’s over here.  We just moved it b/c the posts and the photo workshops and the tutorials were getting buried.  Anyway, we’ll still post the stuff over here, but if you are looking to learn more stuff make sure you go over there and check it out.

We’ve been busy shooting and haven’t had much time to post anything on here or in forums since we saw a bunch of you guys in Austin for the Twilight Shoot Out a few weeks ago.  Time is flying.

We shot some ad pieces for Belle’s Bridal Boutique this week.  (If you are a bride, they are gearing up to have a big sample sale - check it out).  Our lovely model Apryl was radiant and sassy as ever.  She starts college this week.  Congrats!

Keep your eyes peeled for the Paramount Workshop in 2010 (aka the mother of all wedding workshops).  I also suspect that we will bump up the San Antionio Sunrise Bridal Workshop to avoid any chance of snow.  I suspect that will be in the fall some time.

Both of these are more advanced workshops with smaller class sizes.  The workshop at sunrise is awesome…but I really like shooting in old missions and historic buildings.  They’re awesome!

Abilene: Packages, Price Lists, and Photography Class - Sep 20th
08.20.09
Packages, Price Lists, & Profiting in Photography
Sept 20th, 2009
Abilene, TX

This is the class you have have been asking for! If you have been wondering about packages, price lists, and profit margins that really work - this is the class for you.

Belle’s teaches workshops across the country, but THIS workshop will benefit you by seeing it IN our studio. You can see why we promote the packages that we do, and why we can demand fine art prices on our prints. By coming to Abilene, you can see AND hear AND learn why it is that what we do works! This is our cool boutique studio!

Packages and pricing are something that most newB photographers have no idea about and many experienced photogs struggle with. Come out and learn how to create a pricing structure for your business that is easy to understand and adapt it to your studio’s needs. Find out how to increase your profit margin. Learn where you are leaking money and find out how to stop the leak.

This class will cover:

  • the basics of packages
  • 3 things every package must have
  • why pricing structures are important
  • different types of pricing structures
  • profiting from packages
  • common package mistakes
  • a la carte vs. packages
  • how to make packages for your weddings, seniors, children, babies, boudoir, puppies, etc. photo biz
  • creating packages with YOUR clients in mind
  • catering to clients w/ custom packages
  • how to price your work
  • how to determine what you should charge
  • how to decide what to sell
  • the simple truth about samples
  • common price list blunders
  • 5 steps to creating the perfect price list
  • practically (& profitably) presenting your prices & packages to the client
  • and more!

This class will present you with ideas that you can use immediately, and that will greatly help your photography business make more money. Successful photographers are also successful at determining which products should sell for which price. You can be the greatest photographer in the world, but if you cannot figure out your price lists and packages, you are in for a really hard existence.

Learn how to turn a $250 portrait session into a $1,000+ session. Your total potential session sales is contingent on your pricing structure. If you are vexed that you can’t seem to sell/ book over the $250 line, this class is so for you! You will learn what to do with your pricing and packages that leads to selling more products and larger packages.

And most importantly, learn what NOT to do. Some of these things are so common. There are places that just bleed money away from your studio. There is no reason why packages and price lists have to have these problems. Find out what they are and make changes now.

**Whether you photograph weddings, children, families, pets, seniors, etc - this class will help you learn how to make profitable packages & price lists.**

As some of you may know, we just launched a new boudoir line. It’s taken off like wildfire. Client sessions on average gross over $2,000. The reason? Well, we rock at what we do AND we have a pricing structure that considers the pricing and the package elements. We put them together and a win win situation between the client and the studio. It’s awesome!

Those who attend this class, I highly recommend that you bring your current price lists. By the end of the class you are going to have them all marked up with how to make improvements!

There are capacity limitations for this class. So sign up early to make sure you get a seat. Take a day off, leave town, and head for good old Abilene! Abilene is usually only 2-3 hours from most major cities in Texas. We even have our own little airport if any out of town folks decide to fly in again (airport: ABI). Carol from Alaska (and 2009 winner of the Millers baby contest) holds the record TWICE for coming the furthest to a Belle’s Photography workshop. So, come on out! It’s not that far, and if you can’t make back your $ just by sitting in this class you should totally shuck your shingle down right now! The business part of photography is what makes a studio great! So, sign up while you still can!!!

The most common question people wonder about this class - WILL I MAKE MY MONEY BACK? Yes, most students will make their money back; and then have the potential to exponentially increase their return. Why? Because you can apply what you learn here over and over again to each new client who comes into your studio. Can I guarantee you’ll make a $1K per session from now on? No. I can’t guarantee that because so much of it depends on you. Will you follow everything you learned here? Will you apply these proven facts to all your lines? Will you follow through on what you learned? If you are answering YES, then you are very likely to be successful.

*Yes, you can bring along your spouse or assistant to this class for only $149 additional. The tag-a-long MUST be from the SAME studio or you MUST be married. No exceptions. The reason for offering a generous discount is so that your studio will retain 2x as much info with 2 of you sitting there. If you quality for this discount and want to bring a 2nd person, please contact us for a direct payment link.

Registration is restricted for those within a 100 mile radius of Abilene. If you would like to attend this workshop, and live within that vicinity, please contact us for permission.
